RuneScape: How to Move the Champions' Guild Barrel Further Into the Fence

In RuneScape, the Champions' Guild is home to a variety of interesting interactions and RuneScape gold environmental quirks that players often revisit for nostalgic reasons, clue step efficiency, or hidden-object fun. One of the most well-known and lightly puzzling interactions involves the wooden barrel found outside the Champions' Guild fence. Many players notice that this barrel appears slightly misaligned with the fence and discover that it can actually be pushed deeper into the fenced area. While this action serves no major gameplay function, it has become a small but charming part of the game's world-interaction culture-showcasing how RuneScape encourages experimentation through its object mechanics. Understanding how to move the barrel requires looking at clickboxes, character pathing, and the push-object behavior common in RuneScape.

1. Understanding RuneScape Object Movement Mechanics

RuneScape contains a variety of objects that players can push, pull, rotate, or shift. Boxes, crates, and barrels in particular are often used for quests or environment puzzles. The Champions' Guild barrel is one such object: it can be nudged, but only slightly, and only in one direction-toward the fence.

The important detail is that RuneScape uses tile-based object positions. Anything a player pushes moves exactly one tile if the game allows it. Therefore, the barrel can only move farther toward the fence if:

There is an open tile behind it in the direction you're pushing.

The player stands in a tile directly opposite the direction they want the barrel to move.

No other obstacles interfere with the push animation.

Because the barrel does not participate in any quest, the game never resets it intentionally, allowing players to reposition it for fun.

2. Locating the Barrel and Preparing the Position

The barrel is located on the exterior side of the fenced courtyard surrounding the Champions' Guild, which is south of Varrock. It rests adjacent to the wooden fence, slightly out of alignment, as if it could fit more snugly into the corner.

To move it further into the fence, the player must position themselves on the correct tile. This is where most players make their first mistake: standing too close or clicking from the wrong angle causes the player to walk around the object, not push it.

The correct setup is:

Stand one tile south of the barrel, but not diagonally.

Ensure the tile north of the barrel (the direction you intend to push toward) is not blocked by another player or pet.

Rotate your camera so the tile grid is easier to see.

Once you are standing directly south of the barrel, hover your mouse over the object until the "Push Barrel" interaction option appears.

3. Executing the Push Action

Clicking the "Push" command causes your character to attempt moving the barrel one tile toward the fence. RuneScape animations for pushing objects are short, and if the tile behind the barrel is valid, the barrel will slide forward with a wooden scraping sound.

Sometimes it may look like the barrel cannot move because:

The fence post appears close,

The barrel model seems flush with the wall,

Another player is blocking the target tile, or

The object has already been moved by someone else recently.

If the barrel still has room to move, the push action will succeed, and it will shift visually deeper into the fence. If it cannot move any further, your character will perform the push animation but the barrel remains in place.

4. Why Players Move the Barrel

While the action has no gameplay benefits, players do it for:

Fun and environmental tinkering

RuneScape exploration traditions

Social nostalgia around Champions' Guild objects

Setting up quirky screenshots, memes, or roleplay scenes

Some players also enjoy "fixing" world objects that look slightly misplaced, even though this is purely cosmetic and temporary.

Conclusion

Moving the Champions' Guild barrel further into the fence is a small example of how RuneScape rewards player curiosity. With simple tile-based object pushing and buy RuneScape gold correct positioning, you can shift the barrel deeper into the fence as intended. Although functionally trivial, it is one of the many micro-interactions that give RuneScape its charm-reminding players that even the smallest environmental detail can become a memorable part of the game's world.

RuneScape Relics: The Keys to Power

Relics are the beating heart of RuneScape’s Leagues, shaping every aspect of your journey through this time-limited, high-intensity game mode. Unlike the main game, where your progress is gradual and RuneScape gold largely unrestricted, Leagues thrive on tight progression, creative problem-solving, and carefully chosen buffs that completely change the way you play. Relics are the centerpiece of this system. Spread across seven tiers, these passive bonuses give you unprecedented power—faster training, infinite resources, and combat dominance—all while forcing you to make difficult decisions that lock in your path forward.

In this guide, we’ll explore how Relics work, what each tier offers, and how you can build a relic strategy that complements your goals, whether you’re chasing points, speed, or sheer fun.

The Basics of Relics in Leagues

Exclusive to Leagues: Relics don’t exist in the main RuneScape game. They are temporary but central to your League experience.

Unlocked by League Points: Every milestone you hit (by completing tasks and achievements) pushes you toward the next relic tier.

Permanent Buffs: Once chosen, relics can’t be swapped. Each pick is final, making your choices impactful.

Stacking Power: Relics build on one another, letting you snowball into a unique powerhouse by Tier 7.

The magic of relics lies not just in the bonuses themselves, but in how they complement one another, letting you carve a playstyle that feels completely different from anyone else’s.

Relic Tiers and What They Offer

Each relic tier unlocks at higher point thresholds. Early tiers boost your quality of life, while later tiers supercharge your gameplay with over-the-top mechanics. Let’s break them down.

Tier 1: The Starting Push

XP Multipliers: Early relics often include boosts like doubling or tripling your experience rates.

Unlimited Run Energy: A game-changer, letting you move nonstop without food or stamina potions.

Faster Action Speed: Certain relics grant faster gathering or attack rates.

Strategy Tip: Pick what matches your early game goal. If you want rapid skilling, XP multipliers shine. If you’re chasing efficiency in tasks, infinite run is unbeatable.

Tier 2: Building Momentum

Relics here enhance resource gathering (woodcutting, fishing, mining) or combat utility (faster attack speed, extra drops).

Some may provide teleportation options, drastically cutting travel time across Gielinor.

Strategy Tip: If you’re task-hunting for League Points, prioritize teleports and efficiency. If you’re focusing on wealth and supplies, gathering relics will keep you stocked.

Tier 3: The First Big Fork

Combat relics really start to shine here: higher damage, boosted accuracy, or lifesteal mechanics.

Skilling relics may include things like super-fast crop growth, making farming a quick and lucrative skill.

Strategy Tip: Decide whether your League run will lean combat-heavy (bossing, slayer) or skilling-focused (crafting, farming, gathering). This is where your path begins to truly diverge.

Tier 4: Mid-League Transformation

Strong quality-of-life powers, like combining banking shortcuts with enhanced resource management.

Combat relics may give adrenaline boosts or stronger special attacks.

Strategy Tip: By now, you’ll know whether you’re chasing bosses, skilling mastery, or a hybrid. Choose a relic that reinforces your chosen direction instead of splitting your power.

Tier 5: Serious Power

Relics start bending the rules of RuneScape. Think along the lines of instant banking, enhanced drop tables, or combat boosts like faster ultimate generation.

Skilling relics could provide double outputs or near-instant processing for ores, logs, or food.

Strategy Tip: These relics accelerate your grind. Pick one that clears bottlenecks in your current strategy.

Tier 6: Endgame Prep

Expect massive buffs: damage scaling, resource multipliers, or ultimate-level teleports across the map.

These relics are all about making your late-game grind smoother, whether that’s farming bosses or hitting 99s.

Strategy Tip: Look at your long-term target—do you want to clear high-end PvM for points, or max out skills? Pick the relic that clears the toughest hurdles in your way.

Tier 7: The Pinnacle of Power

By Tier 7, relics are absurdly strong. They can fundamentally rewrite gameplay, such as permanent buffs that make combat nearly trivial or skilling instant.

This is where your build becomes unique: your choices from T1–T6 now combine into a setup no one else may have.

Strategy Tip: Don’t think about Tier 7 in isolation. The best relic at this tier is the one that synergizes with the path you’ve built since Tier 1.

Building Your Relic Path

Because relics are permanent, a good approach is to think ahead:

Define Your Goal:

Want to chase the leaderboard? Go for combat relics that let you farm bosses and Slayer.

Want maxed skills? Stack skilling relics that boost XP, gathering, and processing.

Want versatility? Mix quality-of-life picks with balanced combat and skilling bonuses.

Plan Synergies:

Unlimited run + teleport boosts = unmatched task efficiency.

Fast farming + double processing = rapid skilling.

Combat lifesteal + damage boosts = PvM dominance.

Adapt to Your Progression:

Don’t lock yourself into a single plan if your point grind shifts. Always pick the relic that accelerates your current bottleneck.

Tips for Maximizing Relics

Don’t Chase Everything: You won’t cover every playstyle. Focus your relics.

Think Ahead: Even early relics should complement your long-term plan.

Use Tasks Wisely: Relics are point-locked, so the faster you complete tasks, the faster you ascend through the tiers.

Leverage Synergy: The real power of relics isn’t in one tier—it’s in the combination you build over time.

Conclusion

Relics are what make RuneScape’s Leagues thrilling. Each pick reshapes your gameplay, letting you sprint, fight, or skill in ways that feel wildly overpowered compared to the main game. The true challenge isn’t just unlocking them—it’s making the right choices at each tier so that your build snowballs into a powerhouse by Tier 7.

Play with intention, think about synergy, and buy RuneScape gold let your relics turn your League run into something uniquely yours. By the time you hit the final tier, you’ll see just how transformative these keys to power really are.

Each campsite restores your run energy upon completion.

Jessamine translates murals, and you receive earth and water talismans, initially uncharged

Take the talismans to the Runic Emporium’s magic shop to enchant them, then have them infused at the city forge

Return to Neypotzli, use the talismans to locate the Nagua emissaries, triggering a ritual and activating your protection

2 Quest Points

5,000 XP each in Fishing, Hunter, Runecraft

A generous 40,000 Slayer XP

Access to Cam Torum and unlocking the repeatable boss fights in Neypotzli

Cam Torum expands your gameplay horizons with new bosses and equipment.

Community Combat Insight (From Reddit)

Players emphasize the difficulty of especially the Blood Moon boss:

“Defense is the most important stat in moons… you should at least have 60 for some dragon gear.”

“The trick is Blood Moon is especially punishing on low-defense accounts/gear… even a dragon upgrade at 60 def should help.”

Another tip recommends advanced strategies:

“Step-under method... avoid the third hit (which has the biggest heal). You take some damage, but it's worth it to prevent that massive heal.”

Reddit

Upgrading to dragon or Barrows armor, using defensive prayers (like Steel Skin), and enhancing offence with gear like obsidian shield or Dragon Dagger specs, can turn the tide.

Final Tips

Aim for 60+ Defence and equip decent melee gear (dragon, Barrows, or Torva if available).

Bring food, brews, anti-poisons, and consider using moonlight potions found within the dungeon

Practice the step-under technique to avoid big healing hits, especially during Blood Moon phases.

Take it slow—these fights are challenging even at high levels, but the rewards and experience make it well worth it.

Summary

The Perilous Moons Quest is a thrilling, mid-length quest in RuneScape. It challenges your combat prowess and skill efficiency, unlocks rich content in Cam Torum, and offers substantial XP rewards. Focus on preparation—good gear, solid Defense, and mastering boss mechanics—then enjoy this unique and buy RuneScape gold rewarding RuneScape experience.
